Forgotten
Sacrifices was inspired by the area in which I grew
up and the times in which my parents and their aunts and uncles
lived. Two of my great uncles served and were wounded in WWII
and one of them helped liberate the camps in Germany. The
main theme of the book is for everyone to remember and appreciate
the sacrifices that others have made for us and replace hatred
and prejudice with love. The atrocities of war were great
but told through a child's eyes, Peter, it has warmth and
hope.
